Privacy Notice

This notice explains what personal information this website collects, why we collect it, and how we handle it. It applies to blegal.ae and to inquiries sent through the contact form on this website.

Who we are

BLegal is the trading name of Badocco and Lemieux Legal Consultants FZ-LLC, Office No. S12915Y0, Al Hulaila Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates (Trade Licence 47010713, RAKEZ). We are responsible for the personal information described in this notice.

What we collect

  • Contact form information. Your name, work email address, company name (optional) and the message you write. You choose what to include in the message, and you should not include confidential or sensitive information — see our Website Disclaimer.
  • Ordinary technical information. Our web server keeps standard access logs, which record the IP address making a request, the browser user-agent string, the page requested, the date and time, and the referring page where one is sent by your browser.
  • Analytics information, if you consent. Where you agree to analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how this website is used: the pages you view, an approximate location derived from a shortened IP address, your device and browser type, the site that referred you, and interactions such as clicks and scrolling. This information is pseudonymous — it tells us how the site is used, not who you are.

We do not ask for, and this website does not collect, any other category of personal information.

Why we use it

We use contact form information solely to read, assess and respond to your inquiry, and to keep a record of the inquiries we receive. We use technical access log information to operate the website, to keep it secure and available, and to investigate faults or abuse.

What we do not do

  • We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting or profiling, and we do not build marketing profiles of visitors.
  • We do not use analytics information to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with the details you send through the contact form.
  • We do not add you to newsletters or mailing lists, and we do not send marketing.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies of its own that identify you. Where you consent, Google Analytics sets cookies on your device so that repeat visits within a session can be recognised and usage measured. You can decline analytics cookies, and you can withdraw your consent at any time; the site works normally either way.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on. We additionally use Google Search Console, which reports on how this website appears in search results; it does not place cookies on your device or track your visit.

Who can access it

Inquiries are stored on this website and are also delivered to a BLegal email inbox. Access is limited to BLegal personnel who need it in order to respond. Our website hosting provider and our email provider process this information on our behalf so that the website and our email can function. We may disclose information where we are required to do so by law, by a regulator, or by applicable professional obligations.

Analytics information is processed by Google on our behalf. Google may store and process it on servers outside the United Arab Emirates, including in the United States, under the contractual terms and safeguards it applies to that service. We do not transfer personal information to any other party outside the United Arab Emirates.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries for as long as is necessary to respond to them and to maintain a reasonable record of our business dealings, and we delete them when they are no longer needed. Server access logs are kept on a short rolling basis for security and diagnostic purposes. Analytics information is retained for the period configured in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact form and we will respond. Where the law requires us to keep certain records, we will tell you if we cannot act on a request.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time to reflect changes to the website or to legal requirements. The version published on this page is the current one.
